century this architecturally important building is complex, in that it is a mixture of styles, consisting of an old medieval hall and later storeyed ranges, some in stone and some in timber.

Apart from being able to walk at will around this lovely building the group also enjoyed a fascinating talk by local historian, Keith Parker, who has just published his book \’The Story of Norton, Powys\’. The afternoon concluded with a sumptuous tea provided by our hosts John Wilding and Sue – our grateful thanks to them both for making our visit so special.
